I’m Coming Home!

As they say in California, “That’s a wrap!” I had so much fun with my friends here, but I need to get back to Ford Elementary and show everyone my Crazy California adventure!!! Farewell for now SoCal...until next time friends!!!

A California Classic

My friend said a trip to California wouldn’t be complete without a pit stop at his favorite burger place! I LOVE In-N-Out!!!! We actually have these in Texas now, which is so cool. The next time I need a “taste of California”, I can see if my mom take me to our closest In-N-Out Buger in Round Rock! Their special sauce sure is special!!! I didn’t know you could actually get it for your fries too! There’s this whole secret menu that my friends introduced me to! Crazy!! Every location here has these crossing palm trees that you see on all of their cups, wrappers and bags. I wonder if all the In-N-Out Burgers in Texas have them too... hmmmm. I think I need to do some research on this when I get back home!

Grauman’s Chinese Theater

Most famous theater for movie premiers! There were a ton of people in line to see a show, so I didn’t get to walk around and see all the famous hand and footprints in the concrete, but the outside was ginormous!

Disney’s El Capitan Theater

My friends go to this theater all the time! It’s really cool from the outside, but we didn’t go in since the movie they’re playing right now is The Avengers which is PG-13. I’m only 8! Maybe the next time I visit California they’ll be showing a movie that I can watch.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Along 15 blocks of  Hollywood Boulevard there are more than 2,600 terrazzo and brass stars with different famous names on them. Here are a couple of my favorites...
Han Solo AND Indiana Jones in one star!
An all time classic!

The Famous HOLLYWOOD Sign!

A trip to California wouldn’t be complete without a view of the Hollywood sign. My friends told me that it used to read HOLLYWOODLAND! Isn’t that weird??
We could see it in the distance from the Griffith Observatory.

This was taken in the Dolby Theater complex where the Academy Awards are held.

Right outside the Dolby Theater...I could pretend I was actually AT the Oscars.

Griffith Observatory

High on top of the Hollywood Hills is the COOLEST observatory ever! They have a periodic table of the elements with the actual elements inside it. The Tesla coil was awesome. We weighed ourselves on different planets, but ever since that bulletin board fell on me, I don’t weigh enough to tip the scales. In fact, none of them realized I was standing on the scale at all! The views of the city from way up there were really cool though.
